The instrumentation for each work is given in an abbreviated form following the normal arrangement of an orchestral score.

The sequence:

2 Flutes & 1 Piccolo
2 Oboes & 1 Cor Anglais
2 Bb Clarinets & 1 Bass Clarinet
2 Bassoons & 1 Contra Bassoon
4 Horns in F
3 Bb Trumpets
2 Tenor Trombones & 1 Bass Trombone
1 Tuba
Timpani
Percussion (the figure in brackets denote the number of players that the score ideally requires)
Harp
Piano or Celeste (Cel)
Drum Kit
Guitar
Bass Guitar
Strings (all sets of parts are normally made up to 8 desks of 1st Violins, 7 desks of 2nd Violins, 6 desks of Violas, 5 desks of Cellos and 5 desks of Basses)
